It’s one of the most memorable jingles in Australian radio history. You may know State Swim from the jingle, or for nurturing technically stronger, safer swimmers.
For over 50 years, we have delivered only the highest quality aquatic education programs, using a unique combination of progressive and intuitive teaching approaches, to help generations discover a (lifetime) love for swimming and safety in and around the water.
State Swim teaches over 30,000 families each week across 19 Schools in Australia and Singapore; find your nearest Class over at Swimming Programs or read on about history.
Over 50 years State Swim has developed and refined a powerful approach to aquatic skill development. Our style is unique because it supports technical skill and safety for superior learning outcomes and for all ages. Becoming a “Stronger, safer” swimmer is something we achieve together.
Our Teacher-Team includes some of the most experienced aquatic educators in the industry. State Swim Teachers have comprehensive knowledge of aquatic education programs and how to make them work for the swimmer in front of them. All are equipped with an accredited Water Safety Qualification, a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and CPR certification as standard. Many of our Team also hold complementary qualifications or specialties drawn from other backgrounds that make them truly dynamic educators.
Forget term-based or week-to-week; we swim all year ‘round! So, all you have to do is book and start. The State Swim online booking system allows you to find and book the most convenient class for your swimmer (and family), view your schedule, track your swimmer’s progress and manage payment. All in one place! Life gets messy, so you can change your swim spot at any time. Unable to make your class? We make it easy for you to “just keep swimming” with Make-Up Vouchers.
We invest in quality, because you invest in us! State Swim facilities are either purpose-built or strategically customised to ensure the best possible learning experience under our care. Our pool water is of the highest quality and presentation; and many Schools are equipped with Ultra-Violet Light purification systems for fresher, cleaner water without the heavy smell of chlorine (great for asthmatics or swimmers with skin sensitivities.) The water is heated to 32 degrees Celsius for comfort – all year ‘round and sites include change room and shower amenities, as well as a Shop for bathers, goggles and other accessories. We also have plenty of on-site parking and many of our facilities have a viewing room, so you can observe your swimmer’s progress outside of the splash zone.
